Help us slow the spread of COVID-19

Kaiser Permanente, April 21, 2020

During our fight against the coronavirus/COVID-19, Kaiser Permanente remains deeply committed to the health of our members and communities. In addition to connecting you to the care and resources you need, we also want to encourage you to take steps to help slow the spread of the virus. We're here for you — and we thank you for doing your part.

Stay close to home

Limit your time away from home to only the most essential trips. As a Kaiser Permanente member, you don't need to leave home for most medical care. You can get high-quality care from your Kaiser Permanente care team online or over the phone. Most prescriptions can be mailed to your home in 1 to 2 days, with free shipping.

Check with us if you think you need testing

If you're concerned that you have symptoms of COVID-19, start an e‑visit for an online screening or call the 24/7 Consulting Nurse Service at 1‑800‑297‑6877. Don't visit a facility for testing unless a doctor refers you. For more updates on protecting yourself and your loved ones, visit kp.org/wa/coronavirus.

Wear a face mask

When you do need to leave home, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. If you come to a Kaiser Permanente medical facility, you may be asked to wear a mask that we will provide.

Find ways to relieve anxiety

If you're feeling the emotional and mental weight of this challenging time, you're not alone. Adjusting to work, school, and home life all under one roof can be stressful. Joanna Stagg, PsyD, a psychologist at Kaiser Permanente's Factoria Medical Center, shares some thoughts on coping with anxiety during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Complete an online COVID-19 assessment

You can help Kaiser Permanente and public health agencies address the COVID-19 outbreak in our community by participating in a new online assessment. The assessment is anonymous and asks questions about your health and any symptoms you may be experiencing. The information you provide in the survey will help us learn more about the virus so we can continue to meet the evolving needs of our members and communities.

We appreciate your participation in the survey, even if you haven't experienced any COVID-19 symptoms.

The assessment includes general information about the coronavirus and COVID-19. It does not provide personalized care or advice. Get personalized care or advice at kp.org/wa/getcare.

Continue your health coverage

If you're having trouble paying for coverage right now due to a job loss or decrease in business, there are many ways to stay covered with Kaiser Permanente — and we want to help. To find an option for continuing your coverage, visit kp.org/wa/continuecoverage.

Thank you for all you're doing to keep yourself and your community healthy and strong. As always, we're here for you.
